Research
The core of our research activities rests on the physical and spatial transformations of cities and territories generated by the ongoing socio-economic dynamics. We focus on urban regeneration and local sustainable development trying to grasp the complexity of local dynamics by exploring new data-driven approaches.
Since 2011 our aim is to translate the knowledge created into development opportunities for the local community by exploiting the combination of European Research Projects (7FP/Horizon2020) and European Structural Fund (ESF) creating added value for cities and regions.
The on-going Research Projects are based on strong international partnerships aimed to widening the exposure of the Research activities undertaken by the CLUDs Lab.
The CLUDsLab current researches focus on challenging topics for the European Union and regions: Resilience and Transition Management (TREnD), Innovation Ecosystems creation through special opportunity zones (ZES), and Territorial Knowledge Dynamics activation (SOUND). These topics are investigated through EU (Horizon 2020) and National (PRIN) funded Research Projects.
